first time here

What will it be like?

Welcome! It is our joy to meet newcomers and to tell you about all the good things God is doing in our church family. We at the Well believe that Jesus is the hope of the world and the local church is the primary catalyst in the Kingdom of God.

The Well exists to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by leading an ever-increasing number of people into a life-changing relationship with Him (Jesus Christ).

Our church is a place where you'll find the grace, mercy, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone. Come and be part of our family this Sunday.

The Well's Response to COVID-19

May 28, 2020

Hello Friends and Family of The Well! I’m writing to inform you that we will be re-opening The Well Community Fellowship for in-person worship services starting this Sunday, May 31. We will be following the most recent COVID-19 guidelines and ask that you help us to maintain a safe and quality worship experience. Please carefully read the following:

  • Worship times will be at 8:30 and 10 AM. We will have limited seating inside to be in compliance with state guidelines. This means that we will only have space for 75 inside for each service. Please assist us by registering for a service. You can register here on our website on the "Coming Up" page for either the 8:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. service., or by calling our office at 209- 551-4463. We have set up our sanctuary to comply with social distancing guidelines and you will find hand sanitizer stations inside as well as outside in the courtyard.
  • If you prefer, you can bring your lawn chairs and sit outside on the lawn or in the courtyard. We recently added additional shade coverings to the courtyard and two outdoor speakers that sound great. We will be broadcasting on 99.1 FM in our parking lot if you would rather stay in your vehicle and listen.
  • We will not be offering children or youth ministry during the services at this time. We invite you to enjoy worship as a family. Ms. Jessica and the Children’s Ministry team will have activity packets available for children; however, we ask that you come prepared with things to help keep your children occupied. We will shorten our services, but we will need your help to maintain a good worship atmosphere for everyone attending.
  • Please do not attend if you are not feeling well or are sick. We are also asking that you take into consideration the health and well-being of everyone, so we are requesting no shaking of hands or hugging at this time. We realize how difficult this is, but we want to follow the proper procedures that are currently in place. Additionally, we are requesting that you wear a face covering. We will have some available if you need one. And, if you are in a high-risk category for COVID-19, please carefully and prayerfully consider if you should attend in-person. We will continue our live-stream and you can watch from home at 8:30 or 10:00 AM.

This is an unprecedented time and I told our staff that we are “building the bridge as we walk on it.” This means that we will make tweaks and adjustments quickly and as needed but with rapidly changing requirements, it is somewhat difficult to plan too far in advance. This can also be a divisive time. While, we have received words of encouragement from people who are excited to be back together, albeit in a greatly modified capacity, we have also received words of caution and concern from others who think a return may be premature. Please, please, please…if you feel any concern or uneasiness about returning, then worship with us online, from a place where you feel most comfortable. We do not want anyone to feel forced to return and we do not want to hinder those who feel ready. We will try to provide as safe an environment as possible and ask for your prayers and help as we attempt to slowly reopen. Know that you are missed, and you are loved! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
